iriver Story firmware upgrade
The iriver Storys firmware can be upgraded by downloading and transferring the attached firmware upgrade file.
Please click HERE to download the iriver Story firmware upgrade file ( ebook.hex )
Once the file has downloaded, unzip the ebook.zip file and please connect your iriver Story to your PC.
After connecting, copy the downloaded ebook.hexﾠ file into your iriver Story.
Disconnect your iriver Story from your PC and allow the unit to automatically upgrade the firmware (a message will appear on the iriver Story screen advising of the firmware upgrade progress)

Adobe ePUB DRM on the iriver story.
1.) Download and install Adobe Digital Editions: http://www.adobe.com/products/digitaleditions/#fp
2.) After installation, the Setup Assistant wizard prompts you to activate Adobe Digital Editions (you must be online during this process). During activation, you have the option to authorize your computer with an Adobe ID. If you don't have an Adobe ID, creating one is free and only takes a minute. The Adobe ID enables you to transfer items protected by digital rights management (DRM) between multiple computers or devices and restore them after a data loss or system reinstallation.
3.) With Adobe Digital Designs running, connect the iriver Story to your computer with the USB cable.
4.) On the iriver Story - select "Connect Removable Disk".
5.) Adobe Digital Design will detect the iriver Story and ask you to authorise it. You must be online to authorise.
6.) Both Adobe Digital Design and the iriver Story must be authorised on the same computer.ﾠ
7.) A small iriver story icon will appear on the left hand side of Adobe Digital Editions.
8.) You can now copy EPUB ebooks to your iriver story using Adobe Digital Editions.
The iriver Story is comptaible with Adobe EPUB formats (over 80% of titles). It is not suitable for Sony files (ereader file), Kindle files or Barnes and Noble files.
